Every second matters
A short video has very little time to establish context, hold attention and deliver its point. I look for the strongest opening, remove pauses that slow the idea down and build a rhythm that feels purposeful without making the edit frantic.
The work can also include vertical reframing, captions, on-screen text and motion details that keep the content readable on a phone, including when the sound is off. The result is a clear, compact edit that still sounds and feels like the creator or brand behind it.

Captions and text can introduce the topic, emphasise a key line or make the clip easier to follow without sound. We agree on the wording, language and visual treatment before delivery.
Interviews, podcasts, YouTube videos and other long recordings can provide material for shorter clips. I select self-contained moments and rebuild them into concise edits with a clear beginning and finish.
Colours, type, supplied brand assets and restrained motion graphics can give a series a consistent visual language. I use them to support the message and hierarchy rather than crowd the frame.

Vertical social edit
I created a vertical social edit for Erizo Coffee, using the available footage to capture the atmosphere of the place in a concise format made for Instagram.
Motion-led type
This After Effects piece uses animated type as the main visual storytelling device. It shows how timing, scale and movement can carry a message when words need to lead the frame.
UI animation
I created a motion-led walkthrough of a GrowDiaries interface update, using smooth transitions and clear visual sequencing to present new features and design changes.
The edit
I start by finding the point of the clip and the material that communicates it most clearly. I remove unnecessary pauses, organise the strongest moments and shape the pace around the intended tone.
The agreed short video editing service can also cover vertical reframing, captions, graphic details, sound balancing and exports in the dimensions required for the selected platforms, creating a clean and consistent viewing experience. Uploading, channel management and content strategy are separate from the edit unless they are specifically agreed as part of a project.

Direct collaboration
As a short form video editor, I work with you directly from the first message to the final files. My background combines more than six years of editing with 2D animation, and my experience in dance and comedy has made timing a practical part of how I read movement, pauses and delivery.
